FIFTY PERCENT! That is the percentage that youth accounts for India’s population. The number roughly comes to 1.1 billion, 18% of the world’s population, and that is a lot of rigour, intelligence and power which can be put to good use. The youth and children combined constitute 40% of the world’s population. Hence, if the previous era of development belonged to infrastructure revolution and technology advancement; the next one belongs to youth and child empowerment. The future of the world lies in the hands of the young brigade. Empowering, educating and emboldening them is extremely important for India to move forward. Tarahansi and its neighboring village always lacked proper education. The nearest college which was approachable for the students of Tarahansi and the neighboring 40 villages was at the district headquarter of Palamu, which is Medininagar (Daltonganj). The district in itself faces a problem of social unrest grossly due to the less opportunity and poverty which made the region backward in terms of the development; this led to serious safety issue for common people in their day to day life. Considering the need of a degree college where girls will especially get the opportunity to pursue their higher studies and improving the living standards of their families, industry and society. The foundation established a degree college name SSMS Degree College in their ancestor village Tarahansi, college is dully affiliated to Nilamber Pitamber University.
